6. Select an empty, non-shared PCI slot and remove the faceplate. See

Figure 8.

Note

Keep the faceplate in a safe place. You may need it for future use.

7. On the inside of the computer chassis, push the media converter card

until it is firmly seated in the appropriate PCI slot by applying even

pressure at both corners of the card. See Figure 9. Make sure the card

is securely seated.

Caution

Do not use excessive force when seating the card, because this

may damage the system or the adapter. If the card resists seating,

remove it from the system, realign it, and try again.
