2 Patch Release Note

Patch 86261-09 for Software Release 2.6.1

Some of the issues addressed in this Release Note include a level number. This

number reflects the importance of the issue that has been resolved. The levels

are:

Features in 86261-09

Patch 86261-09 includes all issues resolved and enhancements released in

previous patches for Software Release 2.6.1, and the following enhancements:

A PRI interface was sometimes incorrectly shown as down in the output of

the show interface command when a PPP link was active on the interface.

This issue has been resolved.

The device did not drop packets when a port was configured with an

intrusion trap via the set switch port intrustionaction=trap command. This

issue has been resolved.

When the firewall was used on a NAT interface in conjunction with IP

policy filters, Telnet to this interface was not possible. This issue has been

resolved.

OSPF did not refresh a network LSA when it received a LSA with errors

from another vendor’s device. This has now been fixed.

When STP was disabled, any changes to the RSTP parameters maxage,

hellotime, or forwarddelay in the set stp command were not shown in the

show stp command. This issue has been resolved.

The IPv6 ND entry was not added to the device’s forwarding database, so

IPv6 packets were flooded out all ports. This issue has been resolved.

Logging in via TACACS+ sometimes caused a fatal error if the user’s name

and password had expired on the TACACS+ server. This issue has been

resolved.

Level 1 This issue will cause significant interruption to network services, and

there is no work-around.

Level 2 This issue will cause interruption to network service, however there

is a work-around.

Level 3 This issue will seldom appear, and will cause minor inconvenience.

Level 4 This issue represents a cosmetic change and does not affect network

operation.
